This
site is created in connection with the University of Minnesota
Global Seminar taught by Assistant Dean Nanette Hanks. Nine
University of Minnesota students will hike approximately 300 miles on
the historic Camino de Santiago
in northern Spain which follows ancient Roman roads and the pilgrimage
path of
the Middle Ages. Starting in the village of Ronscesvalles on the border
between France and Spain on Thursday, May 19, 2016 we will make our way
across
the Spanish countryside averaging about 15 miles per day as we head west
toward
Santiago de Compostela. We will arrive in Santiago on Thursday, June 9th.
This blog will chronicle our journey in words and photos.
Buen camino!
